ORBIT Research is committed to responsible, transparent, and ethical scholarly practice. Students are expected to uphold standards for research integrity, accurate data and reporting, appropriate authorship and attribution, confidentiality, responsible use of AI, respect for research participants, and compliance with applicable institutional requirements.
Conduct and report research honestly, accurately, and transparently.
Maintain accurate records and protect research data according to appropriate institutional and project requirements.
Properly cite sources, avoid plagiarism, and accurately represent the work and contributions of others.
Give authorship and acknowledgment based on genuine scholarly contributions.
Treat collaborators, participants, mentors, and fellow researchers professionally and respectfully.
Correct errors, disclose relevant conflicts, and seek guidance when ethical or methodological concerns arise.
Institutional oversight comes first. ORBIT’s research guidelines do not replace university policies, Institutional Review Board requirements, sponsor requirements, research compliance procedures, or applicable laws and regulations. ORBIT researchers must follow all requirements of the institution or institutions responsible for oversight of their work.
